Waiver of Responsibility
Charts and Nautical Publications Regulations, 1995, made under the authority of the Canada Shipping Act 2001, provide that carriage on board of the most recent editions of the charts and other nautical publications that are relevant to each area in which the ship is to be navigated, and their correction and updating based on information that is contained in the Notices to Mariners, navigational warnings or radio navigational warnings, are the obligation of the master and/or the owner of the ship.
